Meet the Chiropractors

Dr Janie Dawn

Janie is a registered Chiropractor in NZ having graduated with a Master of Chiropractic from Glamorgan University.  She has also completed her Diploma in Chiropractic and is most recently certified in the Melillo Method - an approach based on functional neurology for treating neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism, ADHD & learning disabilities. She is diligent in attending post-graduate Chiropractic professional education.  She is always looking to expand her knowledge base and develop her chiropractic tool kit in order to provide a well rounded evidence based approach for as many people as possible.

Her assessments aim to consider every factor of an individual's lifestyle so she can effectively correct dysfunction, manage patients and prevent injury recurrence. She particularly focuses on the state and function of one's neuromusculoskeletal system, nutrition and emotions and the effect this is having on an individual.  She loves working with children, the elderly, mums & bubs, the hardworking men & since working in a sports orientated clinic back in the UK she has an interest in injury correction.

Janie was fortunate enough to grow up with chiropractic care, to have the opportunity of a higher level of health and function from a very young age.  As a baby she was very colicky and unsettled - problems a baby (or the parents) shouldn't have to experience.  With regular visits to the chiropractor she soon became a very comfortable and settled baby.  Going to the chiropractor as a child was always a highlight and growing up she continued to receive regular chiropractic care.  During this time she noticed enhanced concentration and memory with studies, faster recovery after exercising, and a significant increase in energy.

This background among other positive family experiences with Chiropractic, has driven Janie to become a Chiropractor and to help others live healthy lives.  She believes everyone can benefit from having a Chiropractic check-up. Be proactive in your life and your health today and reap the benefits in years to come.

Janie loves living in Lake Hawea with her husband and 3 children.  As a family they enjoy the abundant activities that the area has to offer from walking to biking, boating and snowboarding.

She looks forward to being a part of your journey in health and happiness.
